What would be expected from a duo that went on an store to buy guitars and drum kit and end up with electronic drum machines and synthesizers? Seems exactly what happened to Portuguese (Braga) duo Ermo such is the output of their music where António Costa and Bernardo Barbosa fade boundaries of genres and cliches, bringing together the poetic form of song writing (works better if you know Portuguese language), the contemporary approach to the electronic mechanisms and a bag full of creativity. Indie rock, pop, experimental hip hop, club nuances and the strange assurance of a label such NorteSul and the support of some big brands and entities that let them work freely their creative path promoting the new album “Lo-Fi Moda” through the country. It is not common in me to agree with big brands and the kind of artists they support but hats off to them in this one, it shows that is possible to preserve integrity if the artists know what they want.

With just a punctual preview on NTS´s Roll Through a few months ago, “Lo-fi Moda”, which follows previous album “Vem Por Aqui” and “Amor Vezes Quatro” EP, is available on Bandcamp here.
